A Neurotologist is an ENT (ear, nose, and throat) physician with advanced training in the intricate structures of the ear, the neural pathways that affect hearing, and conditions involving the skull base. Dr. Jackson treats both adults and children in the Greater New Orleans area, providing specialized care for a wide range of hearing-related conditions, from chronic infections to skull base tumors.

“People often underestimate how closely hearing health is tied to overall wellness,” Dr. Jackson explains. “By addressing ear-related issues early, we can significantly improve quality of life, both physically and emotionally.”

As Director of the Cochlear Implant Program and Pediatric Neurotology Services at Tulane, Dr. Jackson has expanded access to cutting-edge hearing restoration. In 2019, he established Tulane University Medical Center’s Cochlear Implant Program, followed by the launch of the same program at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System in 2020, ensuring that children, adults, and veterans can benefit from life-changing technology.

Beyond cochlear implants, Dr. Jackson specializes in the surgical treatment of skull base tumors, including acoustic neuromas, as well as complex ear conditions like cholesteatomas and chronic infections. His expertise allows him to treat tumors near the ear and brain while preserving crucial hearing and facial nerve function.
