Revolutionizing hearing care: Clark Hearing offers solutions that fit your life
In a world where hearing loss is often overlooked until it significantly affects daily life, Clark Hearing stands as a beacon of hope. With three successful locations, and Community Impact exclusively learning a fourth is set to open in Montgomery this January, the business is dedicated to enhancing lives through improved hearing and personalized care.

Clark Hearing goes beyond simply fitting hearing aids. It prioritizes understanding each patient’s unique lifestyle, which has been instrumental in their success.

“We like to ask questions about lifestyle to get a feel for the patient and what’s important to them. Are they retired? Are they still in the work field? Do they like going to restaurants? Do they like going to the movies, listening to music? It’s almost like a blind date that we’re going on,” owner and hearing instrument specialist Cassie Clark said.

Their extensive training, experience with custom fittings and attention to detail ensures that every patient receives a product tailored to their needs, whether it’s a premium device for an active individual or a simpler model for those with quieter routines.

Beyond hearing aids

While hearing aids are a core part of the practice, Clark Hearing also offers a variety of hearing protection services. These include custom earplugs for hunters, designed to protect ears from gunshots while still allowing them to hear approaching game, and solutions for those who struggle with noise disturbances, such as a snoring spouse.

“We have a lot of different options. It’s not just hearing aids,” Clark said. “It’s all about protecting your hearing and also giving you back the hearing that you’ve lost from not protecting.”

The practice also encourages annual hearing screenings for people of all ages, likening them to routine dental cleanings or eye exams. Early detection and intervention, they stress, can make all the difference.

“It’s a stigma that you don’t get tested until you’re 65 years old or that hearing aids make you look old,” Clark said. “My motto is ‘hearing aids don’t make you look old, hearing loss makes you old.’ We want you to come in here as soon as possible to get your hearing tested. If you have hearing loss, let’s fix it. If you don’t, come back next year. Let’s check it, keep a monitor on it and go from there.”

A family-oriented approach

Clark Hearing prides itself on providing a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere that sets it apart from traditional clinics.

“We never want a patient to feel like a number. We take our time to cater to their needs and specialize in making things to their liking and for their unique case. We treat them like our friends and family,” Clark said.

According to Clark, witnessing patient transformations is the most rewarding part of the job. She described how patients often arrive with resistance to accepting their hearing loss, only to experience a profound change after receiving hearing aids.

“To see someone in such denial when they first come in, then on the next visit, when we put hearing aids on them, they’re just so happy and full of life again,” Clark said. “That’s the most rewarding thing.”

Exciting growth ahead

With the upcoming opening of its Montgomery location, Clark Hearing is poised to help even more patients in the region. This expansion marks an exciting chapter for the practice, solidifying its commitment to serving the community for years to come.

“We’re not going anywhere,” Clark said. “We’re here to take care of everyone.”

As the practice continues to grow, its mission remains clear: to provide expert care, preserve hearing health and ensure every patient feels valued. Whether it’s through state-of-the-art hearing aids, custom protection solutions, or simply taking the time to listen, Clark Hearing is redefining what it means to care for hearing health.
